Green spaces

I put together my economic knowledge and environmental interests to work in different types of projects: from using supercomputer machines with big data to participate in dialogues with indigenous communities. 

Since the processing of geographical data requires a huge computational sources, I used the supercomputer provided by the UMN.

Green spaces and real estate market

To evaluate the effect of parks on the reinforcement of poverty gap and race segregation in MN (US), I used GIS techniques to put together property information plus socio-economic information from the American Community Surveys. 

Software: R, ArcGIS, MSI Supercomputer.

Environmental justice in Brazil

I had the opportunity to work with indigenous communities from Brazil. The focus of this project was to advocate for indigenous communities' rights with respect to land access and care of natural resources.
